TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR AUTOPROG

Welcome to AutoProg (accessible via https://www.autoprog.co.uk). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between AutoProg ("we", "us", "our") and the customer ("you", "your") for all automotive locksmith, ECU tuning, vehicle security, and odometer/mileage correction services provided.

By booking, requesting a quote, or utilizing our mobile automotive services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not book or proceed with our services.

1. General Mobile Service Provision

  • 1.1 Service Areas: AutoProg operates a fully mobile service covering designated areas within London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

  • 1.2 Arrival Times: Any arrival times provided by our dispatchers or technicians are estimates only. While we endeavor to arrive promptly, we accept no liability for delays caused by traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns, adverse weather, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

  • 1.3 Safe Access: You must provide our mobile technician with safe, legal, and unobstructed access to the vehicle and a suitable workspace to conduct the services safely.

2. Auto Locksmith & Vehicle Security Services

  • 2.1 Proof of Ownership (Strict Requirement): To maintain strict vehicle security standards and prevent vehicle crime, we will not cut keys, program transponders, or gain entry to any vehicle without verifying ownership. You must provide a valid V5C logbook (registration certificate) matching your current government-issued photo identification (Driving Licence or Passport).

  • 2.2 Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to cancel a job immediately and refuse service if adequate proof of vehicle ownership cannot be established on-site. In such events, a Call-Out Fee will apply (see Section 5).

  • 2.3 Non-Destructive Entry: We utilize industry-standard, non-destructive entry techniques wherever possible. However, if a lock mechanism is mechanically broken, seized, or pre-damaged, we accept no liability for secondary damages required to gain entry to the vehicle.

3. Mileage Correction & Recalibration Services

  • 3.1 Legal Disclaimer: Odometer/mileage correction is legal under UK law only when conducted for legitimate, lawful purposes. These purposes include, but are not limited to: replacement of a faulty dashboard cluster, dashboard electronic corruption, odometer synchronization following an engine swap, or restoration of actual documented mileage values.

  • 3.2 Customer Responsibility: By contracting AutoProg for mileage correction, you explicitly warrant and certify that the requested mileage adjustment is for a legitimate, lawful reason. You acknowledge that it is a criminal offense under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 to alter a vehicle's odometer value to deceive a future purchaser ("clocking").

  • 3.3 Liability Indemnity: AutoProg accepts no responsibility or liability for any future misrepresentation or failure to disclose odometer adjustments made by the vehicle owner to insurance companies, buyers, or transport authorities. You agree to fully indemnify AutoProg against any legal claims, fines, or proceedings resulting from a failure to declare the true mileage history of the vehicle.

4. ECU Tuning, Remapping & Diagnostic Services

  • 4.1 Vehicle Mechanical Health: It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is mechanically sound, serviced, and fit for ECU tuning or performance remapping. AutoProg accepts no liability for mechanical failure of pre-existing worn components (including but not limited to: turbochargers, clutches, gearboxes, injectors, or diesel particulate filters) following software installation.

  • 4.2 Manufacturer Warranty: You acknowledge that ECU tuning, software modifications, or component programming may void your vehicle manufacturer’s warranty or aftermarket warranty. AutoProg assumes no liability for voided warranties.

5. Pricing, Cancellations, and Payments

  • 5.1 Quoted Prices: Prices provided via phone or online quote are based on the specific vehicle details provided by you. If the vehicle model, transponder type, or job requirements differ upon our physical arrival, we reserve the right to adjust the final price on-site.

  • 5.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due strictly upon completion of the work on-site. We accept secure card payments, bank transfers, or cash. Vehicles will not be released back to the customer, and keys will not be handed over, until full cleared payment is received.

  • 5.3 Cancellation & Call-Out Fees: If you cancel a mobile booking after our technician has already been dispatched to your location, or if we must abort the job on-site due to your failure to provide valid V5C ownership documents or access, a standard Call-Out Fee of £60.00 will be immediately payable to cover fuel and time.

6. Liability and Warranty

  • 6.1 Software & Fob Warranty: We offer a 12-month warranty on the electronic transponder programming functionality of new keys supplied by us. This warranty does not cover accidental physical damage, water damage, or flat key batteries caused by user wear and tear.

  • 6.2 Component Failure: We are not liable for pre-existing faults within your vehicle's electronic control modules (ECU, BCM, CAS, FEM, Speedometer, Navigation etc.) that fail or lock up during industry-standard programming routines due to hidden underlying hardware issues.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
